These children are beneficiaries of the Ambos Foundation. Originally established by Atuto and its clients in 1998 to aid the victims of Hurricane Mitch, the Ambos Foundation has evolved into an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural Honduras. At-risk children are provided with day care, food, school supplies and uniforms. Impoverished elderly are given housing and care. Funding is made available for construction and repair of homes and sanitary systems, and for basic health care services.
